Don’t ever miss an opportunity to share your message!

Say Yes to Wellbeing: The Power of Taking Opportunities

The other day, during a chat with a PR professional, I was asked, “Are there any opportunities you wish you’d taken?”

Aside from not buying a London flat in the ’80s (which is now worth over a million!), my answer was a confident no. Why? Because I’ve learned to say yes, even when I didn’t feel ready.

One quote that has stayed with me throughout my journey is this:
“If someone offers you an amazing opportunity and you're not sure you can do it, say yes—then learn how to do it later.”
Richard Branson

In over 15 years of business, I’ve been lucky enough to say yes to many things: mentorship from The Apprentice winner Mark Wright, appearing on TV and radio, filming at Pinewood Studios, becoming a published author… the list goes on.

And here’s the thing—every one of those “yes” moments helped strengthen my wellbeing. Because wellbeing isn’t just green smoothies and meditation (though those help too). It’s also about growth, purpose, and rising to meet life as it comes.

Fear often stops us from moving forward. But another quote I live by says:
“When your message becomes bigger than your fear, you do something about it.”
Richard Wilkins

So whether it’s public speaking, launching a project, or saying yes to something unexpected—take the chance. Your future self will thank you.

Wellbeing thrives when we step outside our comfort zones, trust ourselves, and stop leaving opportunities on the table. You are more capable than you think.

Say yes. Live fully. And most of all—don’t let fear write your story.
